This Policy applies to information collected from any and all users of our website, www.shetreks.co (“Site”) and any and all persons who book, waitlist, purchase, or use our services or who contact us, whether by email, telephone, or otherwise.

The sections below explain how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information as well as what rights you have with respect to this information. The terms 'you' and ‘your’ refer to anyone who accesses or uses the Site or any of our services as well as any person who otherwise contacts us and communicates any information to us.

2.     Consent to and Acceptance of this Policy.

By submitting any information by email or otherwise to us, or by your continued use of this Site, you expressly agree to this Policy, as well as to the collection, use, and disclosure of information as described by this Policy. If you do not or cannot agree to the provisions of this Policy, you must immediately cease access and use of this Site and any of our products or services.

3.     Modification of this Policy.

We reserve the right to limit, modify, or otherwise add to, amend, eliminate or suspend this Policy, in whole or in part, at any time. The effective date is stated at the top of this page following the words “Effective Date.” Changes to this Policy will be posted on this Site and, unless otherwise noted, will take effect at the time of posting. You are encouraged to review this page to stay current on the terms of this Policy.

4.     Information Collected.

She Treks collects two kinds of information from users of this Site and our content, products, and services: Personal Information and Non-Personal Information. Personal Information is any information that identifies a unique natural person. Non-Personal Information is any information that is not Personal Information.

We do not collect any Personal Information about any Site user unless such person voluntarily provides it to us. Accordingly, you may access and navigate this Site without disclosing or transmitting any Personal Information; except if you create an account with us, you will be asked to provide your name and an email access and account creation may be required if you wish to book, waitlist or obtain certain services or access certain other content on the Site.

If you do not want to disclose any Personal Information, you may choose not to provide it to us or to create an account with us.

5.     Sources and Uses of Collected Information.

The information we collect comes from four sources: (1) Site and service users who voluntarily provide information, (2) web server logs, (3) web beacons, and (4) cookies. Web server logs are maintained in the process of hosting this Site by the hosting company. Web beacons are small files on certain web pages, also known as “action tags, “web tags,” “pixel tags,” and “clear .gifs,” and “one pixel .gifs,” provided by our advertisers in order to help them understand online traffic and the effectiveness of their advertisements. Cookies are small text files stored locally by a user’s browser, if that user’s browser has the option enabled.

Web server logs, web beacons, and cookies (if your web browser accepts them) collect information automatically from Site users. However, this information is only Non-Personal information relating to Site visitation, which is collected primarily so that we or our service providers may analyze this anonymous data in order to improve user experiences and our Site and our products and services, but we may also use such information for other lawful purposes, including improving our Site rankings or marketing our services or those of third parties. We may also use aggregated or anonymized Personal Information for any lawful purpose, including without limitation improving, advertising, or marketing our or third-party services.

User-Submitted Information.

The submission of any Personal Information to us is completely voluntary, as is any use of any of our services or the creation of any account. If you choose to communicate with us by email, by phone, through contact forms on the Site, in writing, or otherwise, we may collect the information you’ve provided in these communications, including any Personal Information you may have provided. Use of our Site’s summit registration and contact forms as a means of communication with us requires you to provide your name and email address and, generally, in communicating with us you may be asked to provide your name, email address, phone number, and perhaps mailing address. Any information transmitted or provided by or through any communication with us will be used primarily so that we can respond to your communication or inquiry, if any, and provide our services, support, or make follow-up communications as may be required or appropriate.

If you provide or submit your phone number to us, you expressly consent to allow phone calls and text messages from us or any of our members, employees, representatives, agents, or affiliates, even if your number is registered through a state or federal “Do Not Call” list. This permission applies equally to a landline, cellular, or internet-based telephone number and expressly extends to calls from auto-dialers and robo-calls.

In order to purchase any service from us, you will be redirected to [Name of Service Provider] or a similar third-party payment processor in order to complete your transaction. In order to complete purchases with our third-party payment processors, you will generally be asked to provide your name, billing address, and credit card information to this payment processor. However, this information will not be transmitted to, maintained by, or in any way used by She Treks.

Accordingly you expressly consent to permit us to send email communications to the address you provided in order to subscribe to our newsletter and to our sharing of this information with Mailchimp or another similar third-party service provider.
