Collegiate Loop

Late August, I hiked the 164mile Collegiate Loop in the Sawatch Range over the course of 3d 23h 21m, achieving a personal goal of going sub-4days on this route. I climbed just under 37,000ft, averaging about 40miles per day with +9,200ft gained per day.
My feet ached but my heart was full. I saw more sunrises and sunsets than I usually do on a trip of this length, and I hiked in the dark for many hours with only my headlamp and the waning moon to guide me.
